Buy Import Socket Weld Flanges for High Pressure Piping
Import Socket Weld Flanges are a practical choice for small diameter, high pressure lines where a tight, reliable connection is needed. Many engineers prefer this style when they want a clean fit-up and a weld joint that holds steady during demanding service. When you shop these flanges for plant maintenance or new construction work, you’re typically looking for consistent machining, correct socket depth, and a smooth bore transition so crews can move quickly during installation.
How Socket Weld Connections Work in Real Plant Conditions
A socket weld flange uses a single external fillet weld to join the pipe. Before the weld is made, the pipe is set into the socket, then pulled back roughly 1/16 inch as called out in ASME B31.1. This small gap helps reduce stress during weld cooling. Most maintenance teams already know this step saves trouble later when systems run at elevated temperature or frequent cycling.
These flanges line up well with small bore stainless steel pipe, but crews keep an eye on the expansion gap. When the piping system handles corrosive service, that gap can collect fluid and create long-term corrosion concerns. It’s one reason many plants match the flange grade carefully to the process. If you’re looking for stainless options, you can browse our stainless steel pipe flange collections for additional grades and configurations.
Choosing Import Socket Weld Flanges for Your Budget and Timeline
Budget Socket Weld Flanges are popular across refineries, chemical plants, and fabrication shops where cost is part of the decision. Many procurement teams balance price with machining accuracy to keep projects on schedule. Import Socket Weld Flanges give you that cost control while still meeting the dimensional standards needed for trouble-free assembly.
If you’re building out a full spool, you can also shop companion products like Slip On Flanges or Weld Neck Flanges in our catalog. Pairing these helps standardize your BOM and simplifies purchasing.
Applications That Fit Your Operation
Most crews use socket weld connections for steam lines, hydraulic skids, compressed air service, and small branch takeoffs running in the 150 to 600 class range. They’re easy to align in tight rack spaces where access is limited. Fabricators appreciate that the single weld saves time during fit-up and testing.

Poor delivery performance
Love your products, like your prices however I ordered components “in stock for immediate delivery”. Needed them ASAP, couldn’t upgrade delivery method. Took 8 days to print a label, didn’t get picked up by ups till day 10!

Way too long for response time
On January 28, this part was ordered. I am still awaiting a tracking details through UPS. This is for a customer who’s global valve coming off of their well leading to their irrigation supply as well as their residential water supply had broken and had a not isolated the line and cap the irrigation side off to restore water. This customer would still be without utilities. I haven’t received a tracking number out of the eight times I’ve called. I finally got through to one person and even still they couldn’t provide me with any details and this was over a week ago that I last spoke to them I have been charged. I have not received a notice that it has been shipped. I have not received the product. I would not recommend purchasing from this supplier, especially in emergency situations because of the lack of timely manner.
